ESET's U.S. office will be closed Monday, December 25th so that we may spend the holiday with our family and friends. Normal operations will resume on Tuesday, December 26th. In the meantime, if you have an urgent question, please feel free to visit the ESET NOD32 Anti-Virus Forum hosted by Wilders Security, contact a local reseller or our European Headquarters. We wish you a safe and pleasant holiday.

ESET NOD32 for BSD File Servers, ESET NOD32 for BSD Mail Servers, ESET NOD32 for Linux File Servers and ESET NOD32 for Linux Mail Servers have been updated to v2.70.1. These releases contain the following changes:

ESET NOD32 for BSD and Linux File Servers

  • nod32d - Added support for scanning of Potentially Unwanted Applications.

  • nod32d - Added ability to update and reload anti-virus modules.

  • nod32d - Improvements to license expiration warning: Scanning of objects is no longer blocked after a license expires. Only anti-virus scanning is deactivated and an expiration notification about this is sent to the system administrator.

  • Added ability to define individual scanner parameters based on client/server identification

  • Added ability to define update parameters using main configuration file

  • Improved product installation mechanism: The installation package no longer contains ESET NOD32's modules. They are now downloaded the first time the ESET NOD32's package is initialized, if needed. The package installation process is now more user-friendly.

  • In ESET NOD32 agent modules, command line interface testing functionality has been replaced with the aid agent identification parameter.

  • Documentation revised.
